NATIONAL RECALL REGISTRY

TERMS OF SERVICE

Last updated: March 2026

1. Company Identity and Service Description

National Recall Registry is operated by National Recall Registry LLC, an Illinois limited liability company ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). Our principal business address is 75 Commerce Dr #263, Grayslake, IL 60030.

We operate a legal marketing platform at nationalrecallregistry.com. Our service allows vehicle owners to check their vehicles against the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) recall database and, if applicable, submit their information for evaluation by licensed attorneys who handle recall-related legal claims. We earn fees from law firms when we connect them with potential clients through our platform.

2. Not a Law Firm — No Attorney-Client Relationship

National Recall Registry LLC is a legal marketing company. We are not a law firm. We do not provide legal advice, legal representation, or legal opinions. No attorney-client relationship is created by your use of this website, your submission of information through our forms, or any communication with our team. An attorney-client relationship is formed only when you sign an engagement letter directly with a licensed attorney or law firm.

We do not endorse, recommend, or guarantee any law firm or attorney. The firms we work with are independent legal practices that make their own decisions about case acceptance and legal strategy.

3. How the Service Works

When you submit your information through our platform, we: (a) check your vehicle information against the NHTSA public recall database; (b) collect information about your repair history and circumstances through our qualifier form; (c) score your submission based on case strength factors including recall confirmation, repair costs, documentation, and injury status; and (d) share your information with a licensed law firm in your geographic area that handles cases related to your vehicle's recall type.

We receive compensation from law firms for connecting them with potential clients. This compensation structure does not affect the legal services you receive or the terms of any attorney-client relationship you may enter into with a referred firm.

4. No Guarantees

Submission of your information does not guarantee that: you have a valid legal claim; you will be accepted as a client by any law firm; your case will be filed in any court; you will receive any compensation, settlement, or award; or any particular outcome will occur. Case evaluation and acceptance is at the sole discretion of the reviewing attorney. Every legal claim depends on its individual facts and circumstances.

5. NHTSA Data Accuracy

Recall data displayed on this site is sourced from the NHTSA public API and is provided as-is. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of recall information. The NHTSA API returns recall campaigns associated with a vehicle's make, model, and year — it does not confirm whether a specific vehicle (by VIN) has an unrepaired recall. Absence of a recall result does not mean your vehicle is free of defects or safety issues. For official recall status on a specific vehicle, visit nhtsa.gov/recalls.

6. Statute of Limitations

Legal claims are subject to statutes of limitation that vary by state and by claim type. Time limits may apply to your ability to file a claim or seek compensation. Delay in seeking legal advice may result in the loss of your legal rights. If you believe you have a legal claim, you should consult with a licensed attorney promptly.

7. Contingency Fee Arrangements

Cases referred through our platform are typically handled on a contingency fee basis, meaning you pay no attorney fees unless your attorney recovers compensation on your behalf. Attorney fees and costs are typically deducted from any settlement or award. The specific fee percentage, cost obligations, and payment terms are between you and your attorney and will be outlined in your engagement letter. We are not a party to any fee arrangement between you and your attorney.

8. Consent to Contact

By submitting the claim form on our website, you provide prior express written consent to be contacted by the specific law firm identified in the consent disclosure displayed at the time of your submission. Full details of our consent practices, data collection, and your rights regarding consent are described in our Privacy Policy.

9. Eligibility

Our service is available to individuals who are at least 18 years of age and reside in the United States. By using our service, you represent that you meet these requirements and that the information you provide is accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge.

10. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to: submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information; use our service for any purpose other than evaluating a potential legal claim related to a vehicle recall or defect; attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, databases, or administrative tools; use automated scripts, bots, or scraping tools to access our service; interfere with or disrupt the operation of our website; or use our service in violation of any applicable law or regulation.

11. Intellectual Property

The content, design, text, graphics, and arrangement of this website are owned by National Recall Registry LLC and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. NHTSA recall data is public domain information sourced from a federal government API. The "National Recall Registry" name and brand are proprietary to National Recall Registry LLC. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our website content without our written permission.

12. Data Retention

We retain lead submission data for the duration of any active legal matter plus a reasonable period thereafter. TCPA consent records are retained for a minimum of five years per industry best practice (four-year statute of limitations plus buffer). Consent records are immutable and cannot be modified or deleted once created. For full details on data handling, see our Privacy Policy.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, National Recall Registry LLC and its officers, members, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, use, or goodwill, arising from or related to: your use of or inability to use our service; any action taken by a law firm or attorney to whom your information was referred; the accuracy or completeness of NHTSA recall data; any unauthorized access to or alteration of your data; or any other matter relating to our service. Our total liability for any claim arising from these terms or your use of our service shall not exceed one hundred dollars ($100).

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless National Recall Registry LLC and its officers, members, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from or related to: your use of our service; your breach of these Terms; any information you submit through our platform; or your violation of any applicable law or the rights of any third party.

15. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of our service shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration administered in Illinois under the rules of the American Arbitration Association. You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration against National Recall Registry LLC.

16. Modifications

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Changes take effect when posted to this page. Your continued use of our service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.

17. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
